Services/Paint Correction

Paint Correction.

Paint correction is machine-polishing to remove swirls, scratches, oxidation, and water spots from the clear coat. There are three stages depending on how deep the damage runs and how much perfection you want.

Here's what's in it.

Decontamination wash and clay bar prep
Single, dual, or three-stage machine polishing per chosen stage
IPA wipe-down to verify finish
Final wax or sealant application

Most jobs take 1 to 3 days depending on stage. We bring water, power, and supplies.

Questions.

01What's the difference between Stage 1, 2, and 3?+

Stage 1 removes 30 to 50 percent of swirls; it's a cut-and-finish single pass. Stage 2 takes out roughly 70 percent and adds a refinement pass. Stage 3 chases near-perfection with multi-pass compounding and polishing. Daily drivers usually land at Stage 1 or 2.

02Will it remove a deep scratch I can catch with a fingernail?+

Probably not fully. Scratches that hit the base coat or primer can be reduced and disguised but not erased without paint work. We'll tell you straight on inspection.

03Should I pair paint correction with ceramic coating?+

Yes, if the finish matters to you. Ceramic locks in the corrected finish and prevents the swirls from re-marring within a season of washing.
